being semi retired now .. I have started going to the club/pubs playing snooker/darts in the afternoons ...

I then when come home at tea time .. dont bother if a a progs on tv /or I am at a few sites online ...I crack into the stella pint cans when here ...because its such a sorrowful site at times ...lol

I am joining a new AA club this Thursday an will try my bestest to cut down ...

I have ALWAYS BEEN A DRINKER ... its very ..VERY HARD TO Change .. but I feel I need to ...as drinkings a young mans game .. an seeing my gorgeous wife pulling on her sussies an stockings every morning as she dresses for work ..

(btw we are fineacally(sp?)for her to not work but she gets such a Rush out of her managerial job now ,she loves it !!)

I wish you luck mate but I think you will need to find a new hobby away from drinking area if you can to help you. I know it's not easy but at least you're honest because too many people are lying about their drink units.

I was nowhere near as drinking much as you as I was only drinking in the evening and I was way over the Government drinking guidelines , haven't touched alcohol from the last 177 days now. I couldn't cut down and the only way was to stop altogether. So far, I've been to All inclusive holiday with plenty of drinks and over Christmas period & didn't feel like a drink then so I think I have now beaten it at the early stage.

I was blocking out problems rather than facing it. The hardest part I found is, you have to do it yourself.
