Stripping down a Sterling ST40 Burner

G

gerryk

Hello Oil Boiler Engineers,
I have just had a new Stirling Burner ST40 fitted in my Turco Boiler. As the replacement cost just over £400, (not inc labour)I asked the engineer to leave the old burner behind so I can keep it for Spares if needed.
I decided to dismantle it completely and was going well until I tried to remove the oil pump. I cannot see it secured to the casing by any screws or bolts, just the pump shaft going into a "plastic" coupling with the motor shaft on the other side of the coupling, the shaft turns freely but seems to be glued into the coupling
Would one of you knowledgeable guys be so kind as to point me in the right direction so I don't end up breaking something.
My grateful Thanks to anybody who can help.
