Hello, DIY help needed.

Some

brown gripits have been fixed into my rented apartment wall by another tenant. When I'm trying to remove them using the standard instruction by the manufacturer, they won't come out. It seems like the mechanism that moves the wings that hook them into the wall has jammed. The gripits are stuck in the wall and I have done everything I can to remove them without further damaging the plasterboard.

Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have any tips of how to remove them if the wings will not close?

Help.

I had to yank them out with the back of a hammer for anyone that might have this problem in the future.

Have you tried pushing on them with the screwdriver to remove? Failing that, drill them out.

Yeh I tried that, the plastic around the front of the gripit wedges them in so that you can't push them into the cavity of the wall. I just had to grip it with the wench of a hammer and yank the plastic off, then the rest of the gripit fell into the cavity.
