My mums house has a extension with only single skin walls.
It need insulating! Whats the easiest and quickest aproach for a DIY'er?
I'll lift the floor boards and put loose lay insulation in ( room is above garage )
What about the bedroom walls? Wooden stud work and insulated plasterboard ( what should the 'gap' be between the wall/insulation, do I need vapour barier?)
What are those metal frame systems like for DIYers? Will they work for insulated walls?
Cost is important, Dad's pension has just been taken away to pay his nursing home fees!- That is why mum need to get a lodger in to the spare room!
