Stud wall sockets

Im building a 3 by 2 stud wall in the loft and I know roughly where I want the sockets when its finished. How do you prepare the stud wall for a socket?

Leave the wires dangling and then use dryline boxes, just make sure the hole is an inch or more from a stud so the box tabs can engage the plasterboard cleanly.

When you put the plasterbard up, just cut a whole using a padsaw for the dryline boxes and jobs a good un

What do these boxes look like.


Do they just fix to the board then and not the wood?

Dry lining boxes, available from Screwfix, Electrical and most diy shops

The yellow lugs push in behind the plasterboard and tighten up when fitting the socket.
