Notice how wooley mamoths are always illustrated in snow scenes .... if that's sodding true what did they eat ?

Do we see gorillas in snow scenes ? They've got thick wooley coats ! NO

At one time the earths entire climate was subtropical including the polar regions.

Mammoths have been found frozen solid with buttercups still in their mouths showing it was temperate when they died. It may be a harsh climate where they're found now it doesn't mean it was harsh when they were alive. Damn paradigms.

There are two types of mammoths. They weren't all wooley (sic) mammoths.
And it's not a paradigm, it's a conundrum, (except it's not either).

The same stuff as Reindeer.

They were talking about reindeer on the radio this morning

apparently they are the only deer were as well as the males , the females also have antlers

Is that what's keeping you up gas? First world problems eh?

I'd just seen a typical representation of mammoths in some article where they were wading through snow its an assumption based on the fact that frozen mammoths have been in found in the permafrost .......this doesn't explain how they were suddenly frozen solid whilst they werev munching on buttercups.

The story seems to be that the climate suddenly flipped. The mammoths did exist in snow and a cold climate, but it suddenly became much colder catching many out in the perma-frost. Another theory being that man, caused a massive decline.

Numpty ! Do a bit of research. Clue two different animals two different diets.

If you ran a zoo the animals would die of starvation.
Reindeer and Woolly mamoths have/had the same sort of biomes and distribution, very roughly. They did coexist at the same time in the same places.

They also were/are grazers who eat.ate grass and moss etc. perhaps even buttercups.

Now, tell me where you see reindeers in photos.

You don't know that, your guessing they lived in a cold climate.
