Hello,

what level should my subfloor + tile backboard be compared to subfloor outside of the bathroom?

I want to archive a flush run from bathroom to hallway which will be carpeted.

The subfloor for carpeted area outside of the bathroom is 25mm floor boards but will be later be built up with underlay and carpet.

My subfloor in bathroom is 18mm ply at the moment. This will the be built up With tile backer board (thickness dependent on levels) adhesive + tile.

If I have my tile backer board level with subfloor in hallway do you think this will be roughly level when it gets carpeted?

Thanks

Underlay is around 9mm (range 6mm to 12mm)

carpet is around 10mm (range 8mm to 20mm)

so hallway make up will be around 44mm

bathroom make up might be 18mm ply 10mm backer, 4mm adhesive, 10mm tile = 42mm
(adjust to suit your actual materials)
