We have a wonky back door that is quite obvious by eye.

If I measure the left edge of the house to the architrave it's 2cm longer towards the top of the architrave than it is at the bottom.

This is backed-up with a 900mm spirit level on the inside of the wall / doorframe.

We have 1 cracked brick to the left of this at the bottom and some zig-zag cracked mortar above the gas flume.

Below all of this we have some sinkage of paving slabs.

There are no cracks inside.

We are panicked and I am at a loss as to what to do as a conveyancer wants £200 per hour to come out which will be £500 before he even get's there and they won't tell us how long it would take to inspect.

Are there any other options to get this checked?

no problems I can see

the cracked stone looks like it happened when it was built judging by the offset with no corresponding crack in mortar (although it may have been re pointed)

the stonework above the door is pretty carp -the perps arent staggered enough, not surprising the mortar has some fine cracks

corner to door stone surround is nothing -just a building error, not surprising given its stonework

the paving has nothing to do with foundation -so nothing to worry about

Thanks, what about the cracks all the way above the flume though?
