Suitable thickness for custom metal door skin

Im looking to make a steel security door for a garage . I ordered some 2mm thick steel sheet and upon arrival decided it was far too heavy. Anyhow im now considering going with 1mm or 0.8mm thickness. The door itself is 1.8m tall by roughly 80cm wide.

Has anyone got any advice?
