Hi

I will be tiling a large kitchen floor shortly and was wondering what type of tile (ceramic, porcelain, natural stone etc) would be the best sort for a kitchen. Any types I should steer clear of?

Thanks

steer clear of any type of vinyl tile

porc is probs best, hate to agree with gc but there you have it

personally a good slate looks tip top but can damage easy

Thanks

I was thinking along the lines of a Porcelain as well.
Someone had mentioned a good quality Ceramic tile but I don't know how easy these chip.

Well, don't drop pans on them. Natural stone can look nice but is expensive, not always easy to lay, and is cold on the feet.
