Guys
The instructions for my new shower recommend the use of 'supply line / zone strainers' in the feed piping, prior to the mixing / pumping unit, to minimise the chances of any debris getting into the unit itself.
I've never heard of them !
Are they readily available and if so, where from pls ?
Also, having to disconnect the piping to inspect / clean them every 'n' months seems like a real 'pain' !
Are there any 'dastardly cunning as Mr Fox himself' ones out there that can be cleaned without all that aggro ?
Thanks for your advice / feedback !

Standard plumbing stuff. Note you'll need adapters to copper unnless yo find a compression fitting one.
Put a full flow ball valve before it so you can turn its supply off.

Never fit them with the chamber upwards, regardless of the arrow on the side. It must point down.

NB the nut will be ludicrously tight when new, which is entirely unnecessary!
