Suprima 80 HE APS Problem? WHY TODAY!!

Help,

I have a Suprima 80 HE which is about 7 years old and works perfectly.

Very occasionally after strong winds it needs to be reset as was the case today except this time it will not fire up. No fan running and fault finding suggests aps stuck in the on position as I have continuity across APS leads

Have tried blowing/heating through aps and pipes but no effect.

Not sure how APS works Can I temporarily make a circuit between APS leads to test if it is stuck APS or will I damage the PCB. Any advice much appreciated as unable to get my local gas fitter.

If APS faulty I can then order from Ebay today.

Please dont mess around with the APS or any other safety device on your boiler they are there for a reason

Call a different rgi then ffs. It's not difficult. Btw you've possibly already goosed your aps, which might not have had anything wrong with it.
