I know about the PCB problems with lock outs, etc and what with having had the PCB changed to a refurnished one a while ago, 18 months+, I now suffering various odd faults.

It all started when the boiler would not fire up at all, even when calling for CH, DHW or both. Bear in mind that my system is controlled from a separate control unit. The live feeds to the boiler are OK, as is the switched live from the controller. What sometimes happens is the unit will just sit there when there is a demand with just its mains light flashing away, no fault codes. I can get it to start to fire up by removing the electrical connection to the gas valve but obviously it won't start as that is now disconnected. Pulling this plug makes the boiler start up as normal and stops the main light from flashing and going to solid. I've tried another PCB and that didn't help and was supposedly checked from the place where I bought it from recently. The system was fixed last time by changing the flow and casting thermistors. I've checked these again and they appear to be fine along with the gas valve resistance. Also I have noticed that the ignition circuit is firing all the time when its not working so suspect that PCB may have gone again. Any ideas as I'm at a loss and slowly getting colder. LOL

Also does the new style of PCB be fitted to my boiler?

Many thanks Pete
