Hi,

We had a Suprima HE boiler fitted two weeks ago, which worked fine then died on us, no power to the boiler and fuses kept blowing. Potterton engineer came out yesterday and replaced the fan. He wasn't sure why it broke, suggested water might have got in, maybe through heavy rain (the pipe leads out the kitchen wall to the front of the house). Has anyone else heard of this? If so, can we stop it happening again - don't want the boiler to break down every time it rains heavily!

HE boilers are condensers - so they're DESIGNED to have water in the flue! Sounds odd to me. Call Potty's tech help line. They probably won't ask for a corgi number.
