I'm replumbing my house and installing a shower I intend to fit a Surrey flange to my cylinder to feed the hot water to the shower but should I use the same feed to supply the rest of the house or should it come off the other pipe (that leads to the vent pipe )
Cheers,

when I fiited one it was to an existing system so it just fed the pumped shower.

BTW they are dead easy to fit, make sure you use the correct size hole saw though - i was quite worried about dropping the back of the flange inside the cyclinder! aggh, I meant an Essex Flange! Doh. A surrey flange comes off the top of the cycl before the DHWpipe, and DHW should come off the vent pipe bit futher up
