Hi this is my first post so here goes,
I’ve purchased a 1930s bungalow and since moving in we noticed the floors are bouncing more than normal, so decided to take a look under the floor boards to see how it looked‍♂️, The joists look good with no rot but to my horror someone has hacked the support walls out underneath all the door ways for access I guess, (possibly plumber or electrician maybe) and they’ve left joist just hanging with nothing underneath some of them, only sistered to other joist, I’m annoyed, so looking forward I’m thinking of jacking up the said joists knocking out all the loose cement and bricks, and rebricking it, leaving it to harden a few days then knocking wedges between bricks and joist to level off, I’ll install a dpc in the brick work, also thinking of putting a dwarf wall across the room at halfway point as it’s 4.5 meter span with no support, what do you guys think please, am I missing anything

plumbers, eh?

you can easily rebuild the honeycomb wall. If it was me I think I would jack the joists up first, and ease them down while the mortar was still soft to hold the level. You may be able to do it so you can still have a gap big enough to crawl through. Perhaps you could rebuild a new wall so the gaps are staggered.
