hi all i have a 1998 suzuki baleno which keeps pinking or missing when the engine is under pressure in top gear it has an auto gear box and i have to press throttle down hard for it to change down,plenty of hydrolic fluid,i am thinking of changing or checking spark plugs,but their is no workshop manual for this car so i dont know tha plug gap can anybody help with problem thanks

The overtravel on the accelerator to the kickdown position does seem to have a very hefty return spring.
Ours often drops two cogs (the box drops from 3 to 2 and simultaneously disengages the overdrive) using the kickdown.
I tend to use the overdrive switch on the gear selector rather than the kickdown on the accelerator.
