Hi everyone
Having decided on how to clean my central heating system (Vaillant eocTEC plus 837 boiler) I have now turned my attention to the type of filter I am going to attach. I know that this has been thrashed out a fair amount here and so would like you opinion on the SpiroCombi which, they claim, in addition to takeing out the sludge and magnetite also removes any air in the system. On the face of it this seems like a bonus, as this should prevent/reduce oxidation and also reduce the need to bleed the radiators in the future. Am I correct in this assumption?
However, they advise that you should install it on the Flow and not return:

This makes me think that maybe I should stick with a normal "dirt/magnatite seperator" as surely, because the dirty water has to pass through the heat exchanger first, some of the dirt might get stick in the exchanger before going into the filter? This I am assuming is why all other filters, including the other Spirotech filters, are installed on the return. Is this a valid concern of mine or are the particles so small that they will pass through the exchanger?
Finally, is it my imagination or is the Spirotrap Magnabooster:

and the Sentinel System filter:

an identical product? Do Spirotrap make the Sentinel product for them and just put their name and logo on it? I have noticed that they have both added a "self cleaning magnet" recently and, in fact, use exactly the same diagram to show it.
