SWA Cable, Next To Gravel.. Any issue?

I am doing some outside lights.

Part of the cable (1.5mm 3 core) will be underneath some gravel

I understand that the gravel could potentially damage the cable

To protect the cable could I use some flexible black conduit like this? or is something else recommended?

Sand is the normal way.
