Has anyone swapped a concealed shower by gaining access to it through the over side of the plasterboard wall, not the tiles.

All my showers are accessed through a panel on the other side of the wall. In the case of the first one, I cut a hole through the plasterboard, and replaced it with a panel. In the case of the other two it was designed that way from scratch.
Thanks this is one I need to swap. So I need to cut out of the plasterboard behind.
Installing it from this side I need to fix the shower to a piece you wood first then fix this to the uprights in the wall
