Swapping Single Barrel Latch for Locking Bathroom Latch

Hi All,

At the moment, our bathroom door is just like all the other doors with a single barrel latch.

I want to put a locking one on and was just wondering if there are any tips when it comes to installing to make sure the existing holes can be reused and extended downwards to fit the new piece?
