Switch Fused Spur off of Light circuit.

Hello,

Is it safe and legal to have a low current switch fused spur mains socket running off of a lighting ring. Assuming the lighting ring is on 1mm twin and earth.

It will be used to power a small LCD TV.

if you mean an fcu

you can but since the lighting fuse is 5 / 6 A there is no point.

However if you do fit a socket, fit

so only the lcd tv can be plugged in.

Thanks, I will run one off of the socket ring or extend the ring main then. More work but worth it as you say.
