Sword cabinet case suggestions please.

Hello, so, I have built a simple sword and knife display case, but I have come to a grinding halt.

I have become stuck on designing a sword bracket, I need a rest for the bottom of the sword, and some sort of clip holding the top of the blade area below the handle. do you have any suggestions on what I could make?

the other problem is adding a glass door, how would be best to do this? I have never tried to work with glass.

You could use suitable offcuts of wood to rest the handle and blade on, fixed so as to keep the whole thing reasonably horizontal. Consider perpsex instead of glass, it is easier to work with and cut.
