Hi

I have probs with my CH. The HW is fine however when i switch the CH on at the programmer the boiler does not fire. So not heat in the rads.

I move the lever on the valve head (honeywell V4073A 3 Port) to open and it slide back to auto it self. So i tied it lever to open (via a wire tie and a weight) and all the rads have come on when the boiler fired with the HW.

Does this sound like the syncron motor needs replacing? Is it a easy job? Would i have to get a honeywell part or will a b&q 15 quid jobby be ok?

Thanks for the help :)

Its a fiddly job but it probably is the motor failed.

You should ideally measure the resistance first, should be about 2200 ohms.

Its pretty easy to change apart from dealing with very small screws which can be dropped and lost!

Any motor which fits should work.
