Tado - Vaillant Eco Tec plus boiler - VRC 400

Hi, has anyone got this combo working? The VRC400 is hard wired back from the boiler into the living room. i also have the weather compensater which i accept will become redundant. I have yet to order the Tado system but thought i might come here to see if anyone has this working and how?

I could be wrong but as far as I know the vrc 400 works with vaillants own ebus protocol so you cant splice the tado into it, if your making the wc redundant why not get rid of the vrc and connect the tado directly to the boiler.

Yea, the VRC uses eBus protocall, so not compatable with other controls, its one or the other I'm afraid. Unless its one of the newest boilers then I think there could be a work around, but Im going to guess its a few years old now if its an old VRC 400 you have?

Hi, am i likely to see any significant reduction difference in bills if i swap my existing Vaillant WC for the TADO system. TADO i believe just switches the CH on and off if there is no one at home AND its scheduled to heat the home. Where as the Vaillant WC modulates the burner dependent on outside temp.
