Taps noisy after fitting new tap washers

After fitting new tap washers to both taps in the bathroom sink, occasionally the taps squeal when you turn them on.
You have to open the taps more until it stops.
It does not do it all the time.
Never had the problem before the new tap washers.
Help!

Bet the washers are plastic, not rubber like the original ones.......look closely Anyway, grease up the spindle etc. with vaseline
