Telephone Line

I recently decorated my bedroom which included changing the sockets. I changed the telephone socket and re-wired the telephone wires back in place but I have lost my dial tone on my internal landline telephone. If I use my mobile to ring the landline it rings out on my mobile but no sound comes from the telephone. I now cannot use my landline telephone.

SKY have tested the line & they state there is no problem. Can someone please advise how I can fix this without paying HUGE callout fees.

Thank you

Dave

Do you have an NTE5 master socket? If so drop the bottom part off and plug your phone into the test socket, see if that works. If it does then can you upload photos of the house wiring at the master socket and the socket you re-wired?
