Television picture breakup

Just wondering if anyone can suggest a remedy for a television picture fault I have ?, the set is connected to a freeview box and fed by the aerial on the roof, recently the picture has started to break up into lots of small squares, makes what can only be described as a clicking chirrup and freezes, it then retarts a couple of seconds later, its an irregular fault. Tried switching off the freeview/tv but this does not seem to help ?

Weak/poor signal, thats what digital does. did it used to work.
Could be faulty tv/freeview box, poor cable connection, aerial moved.

Can you try tv without the freeview

Hi DD,
are freeview box in the bedroom is connected to an indoor loop aerial and most of the time its fine. But if the aerial gets knocked slightly we get the same problem. Pain in the a*%e to put right so I would suggest it is your aerial getting disturbed. Best bet is to get a bloke up on your roof and make sure it is secure and can't be blown about by the wind etc.
