Have just fitted a kitchen mixer tap.
System is low pressure hot (cylinder) and mains cold.
Instructions say that in this case to fit check valves on hot and cold and a flow regulator on the cold.
The system is being changed to a combi at end of September hence why the tap being fitted is one ideal for balanced pressures.
I am putting the check valves on but can I just use an isolating valve to adjust the flow to the correct amount to get me by for a few weeks? Am I right in thinking that closing the iso valve does reduce the flow (rather than the pressure)?
