Why? it's Palestinian population stats over 30 years or so. It's all very well the usual suspects telling us how many Palestinians are being driven out of their homeland, but surely if that were the case, wouldn't that show the Palestinian population to be falling rather than rising exponentially year on year.
John, they didn't have a country, Britain gave it all away to the UN to be divvied up between the Jews and the arabs, on the condition they both respected each others right to a nationhood and the right to exist.
The Israelis said OK, thank you very much, the arabs said **** off, we want war.

Abortions are a big reason for hospital time in Israel, abortions are illegal in Palestine. In Palestine, if they found out a woman had an abortion, she'd be thrown off a rooftop with the homos.

Did they make up most of the population? many of the arabs and bedouins wouldn't have cared to be called Palestinians. Are you sure John? you seem to know more about the arabs than they do.
The Jews were kept uptodate on the British withdrawal and had a government in waiting for the minute the British Mandate ended.
Which they enacted the minute the British left. (in fact the British withdrawal was ongoing).
The Israelis made full use of that government in waiting setting up the administration of governmental departments for the whole area, which they have since been reluctant to relinquish, even extending their control over increasing areas.
They had been militarily trained by the British, and they had experience in such military affairs which they put to good use.

The Palestinians were fewer, and had no such administration in waiting.
And UK (and all the other countries in the world) doesn't want asylum seekers either.
And Palestinins in Egypt (or anywhere else, except Gaza, the west bank, and Israel) would be asylum seekers.
In the run up to 1947 Jews were given land in Palestine because no other countries wanted them. Many of them also were asylum seekers at the time.
