Test for leak

I have a leak in my kitchen that just cannot be located. As a test of the roof gulley we poured about 100 litres of water down it in the space of about 30 minutes. Would this be enough to give it a good test?

Post a picture of the leak on the inside then take a picture of the external part of the house, stand back so that the whole area can be seen.

Pouring water onto the area you think the leak is doesnt always give you an answer as it can be wind blown, driven etc..

Also what could? be of use is an idea of how long the Leak has been on-going?

But the Photos will Illicit a load of information.
