Hi,

We have had our dining room replastered and the decorator is due to come next week. We knew a mist coat needed applying before the regular paint but have sillily applied a few largish patches of tester pot paint without thinking n attempting to choose a colour. Will we need to sand these off before the decorator comes or will they be Ok?. I have no idea what kind of paint the testers are as it doesn't state on the pots but it's a mixture of dulux and valspar.

Thanks

Get 1 litre of Zinsser B I N and disposable brush - cover the patches and aprox 1 inch over the shape. Then leave for the decorator to carefully sand/blend them in. Chuck the brush, it's not worth cleaning with methylated spirit.
