Hi all.

I have a 17-year-old Worcester Combi that has had 3 new pumps over the years due to them failing to operate under hot water demand which has led to kettling and the display showing U9. Lately I have learned that when that happens I can now get the pump to kick in on heating demand which cools the system down again, then it will work on hot water demand thereafter. However this now occurs every time the boiler has been switched off or the power supply interrupted, if you run a hot tap before the heating has been on, the boiler will overheat because the pump isn't kicking in. It could cause a lot of panic if I wasn't here since I'm the only one who dares to sort out anything like that! In addition I've noticed on the last couple of boiler service visits, the pump overrun stays on constantly after being in service mode and doesn't stop until I've turned the boiler off and on again.

Any ideas what might stop this issue occurring again? New pump again? New PCB? All help appreciated. Btw if anyone is wondering about limescale, I live in a very soft water area.
