Hi,

I have just fitted a Premier Elite Odyssey 5 and feel that the Xenon seems very dim?
It is not that bright at night and not really visible in the day, is this normal? The LED's show up fine.

[Premier Elite 48 as SAB, Odyssey 5 connected as 'normal' , i.e. SAB, LC = Off. Via ENCalculator1.5.1.1, panel total alarm current = 1.362A]

Many thanks

Hard to say with any degree of certainty if what your seeing is normal or not.

It’s true that it is much harder to see in day light.

Are you doing the strobe as a bell test then firing strobe off as an actual alarm activation. Just the panel current draw would be different in the two scenarios.

Thanks for the reply, sorry I'm late acknowledging your feedback.

I operated the strobe as a test, rather than a full alarm activation. I didn't realise that the current draw would differ. I was intending on measuring the Odyssey's current draw on the panel with my Fluke while testing the strobe, to see how it relates to the tech spec.
