Nah, it wasnt the BVIs. I'd have found him out very quickly on that. My In-Laws retired to Tortola BVI. Last known (alleged) bolthole was Vanuatu. Somewhere in the Pacific. I don't think they have electricity there....

As you say, his last 'known' location was Vanuata (or something like that), but I'm pretty sure that BVI featured (in addition to assorted other, mainly Pacific, islands) at some point in his history!

It's his 'deleting' exercise which I found so intriguing. Whatever his motives, he clearly did not take into accountthe wealth of his writings which exist, outside of his control, in quotes in other people's posts - so, even if he was 'ashamed' (or whatever) of what he had written, a lot of it still 'lives on'

Some people are sad enough to have multiple identities here, in the bad old days of the thumbs-down debacle someone had about a dozen (IIRC) so that they could vote multiple times.

But I'm not one of those people - what you see is what you get, and I have no desire, or need, to hide behind other IDs.

I agree. He was a right pain in the a**e. Still think he was either a regular, or an ex-regular.
