Until they have been vetted, checked and either accepted or deported, they should be under our control with regards to their movements at all times. Keep them fed, watered and warm but under guard in military barracks.
The hotels policy came way before those options were ever considered.
In the past, asylum seekers had always been housed in mainstream housing. Like Labour are now doing. It was a change under the Tories to use hotels. I was just wondering about the reasoning.

Labour fixed nothing. The Blair government were the ones who opened the floodgates. Tories carried on the same policy, all the time promising remedies and controls but the only effect was ever greater numbers.
