I know a likkle bit about explosions & judging from the photo's it definitely was not the boiler. Very impressed that the nearest neighbours weren't obliterated, couple this to the roof damage & it indicates a floor level ignition.

It was an atmospheric gas explosion, of that there is no doubt.

Whether it was piped natural gas or the latest method of refining the weed I don't know . . . . but I somehow bet it's going to be hard to find the gas meter intact !

I think it's curious that more of the roof was blown off the neighbours house than the house which apparently had the explosion, what do you make of that? Perhaps there were just more nails in the tiles or a newer roof.

The 63 y.o. "father" from the house has now died from his injuries!
