Jim Diamond unfortunately. Ok, he wasn't a giant but he had a great voice

Not sure that I would class Benn as a giant. Always thought he was a bit of a buffoon. Maybe I've overlooked his achievements? Healey deserves to be classed as a giant, but possibly more for his WW2 service than anything else.

If I understand his position, quite the reverse.
I disagreed with the majority of what he said but always listened to him - one of the few politicians I genuinely respected.

I have to agree with that. I never agreed with a single word he said but I had great respect for him because he seemed to really believe in his cause. Unlike the lip service paid by the recent bunch of @rsewipes.
Benn was a giant in terms of influence, publicity and fame. And he held office before he went gaga. He was very dangerous, as he was thoroughly charming, quite convincing but utterly wrong on so many issues. Reminds me of Caroline Lucas, or t'other way round.
