The Green Man

This will be music to the ears of those who walk into shops bold as brass, sweep copious amounts of items into bags then calmly walk out.

'Guv, I have no other means to earn money or obtain food, it's for me kids guv!'

And her we thought that Jeremy Corbin's Sultana party were to be the comedy act of the political parties. On the bright side of course is it's another avenue for the rabid lefties to allow Reform to win the next election.

what he actually said is:

“We are criminalising poverty and criminalising inequality — and we should have a look at that. A lot of people who are poor have to go around stealing because they have no other option. If I had no money or any way of getting any money or food to my family then I would consider shoplifting.”

Mr Polanski also said he wanted to look at the justice system, claiming it is locking up people “far too often and far too quickly”.

Meanwhile...

The newly elected deputy leader of the Green party and his family were attacked on a day out at the seaside last week, with bottles thrown and racist abuse hurled, he has told the Guardian. Mothin Ali, a Leeds councillor, said the incident was a reflection of extreme rightwingers using inflammatory language to blame immigrants and refugees for social problems.

“Reform UK offers simple ‘solutions’ to extremely complex problems – blame immigrants, blame black and brown people, blame Muslims,” he said. The language is incredibly inflammatory. It’s language that is designed to stir up hate.”

Ali said that Reform UK was a “big threat” to cohesion, but the Green party under new leadership was in a strong position to offer a radical alternative.

Watermelon can mean a few different thing as I understand it.

“watermelon smiles” - racist slur
Palestine supporter - re flag colours
Sexual fluidity

I’m not sure which of these Andy is referring to

The G. Man in Derby was a fine pub back in t'day, with a spit n' sawdust atmos. and Black Dog on the J.box. An old school watering hole for bikers n' bitches. They put carpet in at the start of the 90s  and it's probably changed out of all recognition now, along with four other places that were on the list of a good crawl...
