Apparently audience's have been clapping at the end of the new churchill film .......a rare thing to happen........I don't really know why ...its historical.

One thing historians generally agree on irrespective of the inner conflicts and foibles of the man himself he galvanised the nation in to action and resistance and imbued in them a spirit to resist and fight.

When he said without victory there can be no survival, judging by the record of the Nazis I don't think he was wrong, their modus was to enslave and pillage.

Without Churchill's inspiring leadership it's feasible the country could have capitulated and the Nazis been victorious .........
