The minefield that is choosing a double glazing supplier

I am trying to get new double (or triple) glazing fitted in my flat. I'm in the West End of Glasgow.

I've had: Dalmatian / Weatherseal / Advanced & Penicuik out so far.

The thing is - I am still none the wiser as to who to 'trust'. Each talk the back of the competitors, naturally, and their product is the best because......

Quotes are ranging from £2k to £4k. Penicuik started off at £6.5k

Any advice folks? I have 4 rooms getting done - so that's 4 windows.

Go for a small local supplier

I had 17 windows done for 8K by Fife Windows and Doors, don't know if they come to Glasgow or not. The windows were mainly about 3'6" x 2'9", fully reversible, with another three considerably larger up to 3'6" x 9'.

The job was expertly completed with hardwood surrounds and internal cills in four days. Recommend this family run business.
