Thinking about it, it's less a conspiracy theory than a conspiracy anneceote

Obviously I was not allowed to see her in there, but used to go into the entrance of this Covid/isolation ward to the nurses' station to drop things off for her. I was amazed how quiet and calm the ward seemed, no sense of overworked, overstressed staff. I expected the corridors to be lined with people on oxygen. In the middle of a pandemic that needed a nationwide lockdown, not just the ward but the whole hospital seemed eerily quiet. Same with the testing station outside, dead. Where's the big emergency?

I had an appointment to go in for some IV last week in a specialists section, in one of the country big teaching hospitals, the usually full with 30 waiting room had just 4, with little sign of any of the hospital being too busy. Appearances though, could be deceptive. I was straight in, dealt with and out.

Whenever possible outpatient sessions have been moved to remote phone and video services, in part to reduce the number of people sitting around in waiting rooms.

Yes, I am very aware of that, I have had 3 or 4 such calls since this began, but none the less it did seem awfully quiet generally. Very few patients, staff or visitors around.

Could be the ordinary flu rebranded as Covid 19 in order to attract billions in investment to"find"a vaccine which already exists.
Or it could be a deadly disease which has killed over 50,000 in the UK alone.
with a 99% plus survival rate

I entered the hospital past the outside testing station (staff often looking bored here), and into A&E - then walked through the hospital at different times of day or evening. Everywhere just appeared to be orderly and calm and quieter than normal. Are we in the grip of a deadly pandemic or not I asked myself.

But I suppose a politician would spin it by saying that lockdown is obviously working if the hospitals are quiet.

97.7%..............ie.2.3% die..........https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

2.3% of those (confirmed?) to have had CV died (of it?)

Given that anything from "a third" to "three-quarters" of cases are asymptomatic, what are the chances of those being tested (and therefore appearing in the Worldometer figures?)

Too many unknowns, to state with any certainty, let alone to 1 decimal place.

Activity in A&E means sweet f all. Haven't people noticed that they are concerned about the huge drop in people attending there?

This is 111 on line covid assessments. Not been very busy has it and probably running at staff levels used for the 1st wave.

There is another where they concluded that the caller had flu not covid. Peaks in similar places but much higher in the recent wave. Given the time of year that's hardly surprising. Then find some real info instead of stupid sources and add gp consultations and also A&E covid attendances.
