The two Bobs

I understand the point you have made. But I don't know whether that is the legal issue. Is it enough that chanting "death to the IDF" might stir up hatred against Israeli citizens in the UK?
Pass, I'll leave that to the legal bods, as in actual legal bods, not those on here who think they are.

There can of course be knock-on consequences beyond the intention of whatever statement someone makes, however making a statement about an entire defence force vs a statement about people housed in hotels is, to me at least, somewhat different.

What are your thoughts on Kneecap calling for people to murder their local Tory MP. Bear in mind that of the 9 MP's killed in this country in the last 100 years, 6 of those were carried out by the IRA.
Abhorrent.

There is obviously huge anger. But hurty words which call for violence might cross a line.
What about actual violence, does that cross any lines, or are we all ok with that?

If violence is part of your job then that is fine or acceptable. If you are a singer that is being looked up to as a role model to impressionable young kids in front of thousands and start them all off chanting, "death, death to the IDF" and "From the river to the sea" then I think that is worse.

Level of harm and culpability would only have an effect on the sentence.

I worry about the precedent. Am I no longer allowed to support Ukraine killing off as many Russian Armed Forces personnel as possible? Is that hate speech?

Or is it just Israel playing the race card?

Do you not think Zionist and IDF might have been proxy words?

"Their chants very much crossed a line and we are urgently reminding everyone involved in the production of the Festival that there is no place at Glastonbury for antisemitism, hate speech or incitement to violence."

From the organisers.

Not playing race card at all, if you cannot see the difference that is a real shame. You wanting to see as many Russian soldiers killed is also pathetic too. I prefer to look upon Ukraine pushing back a Russian front and holding the Russian government to account rather than seeing as many soldiers killed as possible. You do not have to kill as many soldiers as possible to push back a line. If you went onto a stage chanting death to Russian soldiers then you would be no different.

The war with Iran has a few left wing heads spinning in confusion. They hate Israel for fighting Arabs, as it dawns on them these particular Arabs are strong allies of Russia.

Perhaps, but that's a stretch. The IDF is engaged in a genocide and is dragging us into war with Iran. You don't need to find any more reason than that to hate them.

Also, Israel is a strong supporter of Russia and has blocked arms sales to Ukraine. Another reason to dislike Israel as a country

Fillyboy is a massive supporter of Farage and Trump, both of which are massive supporters of Putin

Fillyboy massively supports Putins Brexit

It is Fillyboy who is spinning in confusion
