I've got a ramses812top ch programmer that has been working perfectly for 5 years. Last week it started forgetting the time (which I repeatedly reset). Today it is now forgetting the temperature and calling for radiators, at one point it read 10deg while the room was 22, then 16.5, 27.5 and finally 33.0. I've disconnected it and the 5hr backup lasted 30 secs. Is there something I can do or am I looking at a new controller. Its disconnected now for an overnight power down /reset so fingers crossed. Has anyone else come across this fault?

Likely that the internal backup battery has failed. Unless you are prepared to hack the thing open and attempt replacement, then it's time to buy a new programmer.
