Thermostat Problem

I have a Worcester Combi system and my heating came on in the night on its own so changed the battery in the thermostat now a red alarm light has come on the thermostat by the bolier itself and I cannot get the red alarm light to go out also have searched the house for the manual and no luck! Is this a job a girl can sort or do I need to call an engineer.

I guess its an RF stat and needs to be reunited with the receiver.
