I have a Potterton 40EL-80EL boiler, it is 10 years old. Suddenly our thermostat only controls the heating when I have it on the advance setting, otherwise when the heating comes on with the timer it is on full blast even when I turn the thermostat to its lowest setting the radiators do not cool down. Any ideas as to why it works on one setting and not the other? Thanks in advance.
