It would be great to solve this tricky problem...
I want to set up a nice\constant temperature shower on a boat which has an instant (Morco) gas water heater.
The problem with instant heaters is they often overshoot temperature and auto shut off the gas so the water goes cold and then they start up again. Result is lousy shower experience.
How to fix this given the basic poor performance of the hot water?
I was thinking of a small extra hot-water buffer tank alongside the gas-water-heater with a thermostatic mixer valve taking the output of both to give a fixed hot-hot supply, then this guaranteed hot-hot supply to another thermostatic mixer with the cold to give a constant shower temperature.
Would this work? too messy?
...is there a simple way to solve this.
I do not have enough electricity for an electric solution and the main water heater must be gas.
any info or ideas would be nice
