I have a combination boiler. My mixer shower (A very cheap £40 mixer) is fed hot water from the combi boiler. The cold water is fed from the loft and seems connected to all the other houses in the block which I live (I live in a masinette in a block of houses). The cold seems to be a much higher pressure than the hot supply. From the mixer shower I don't seem to be able to get a balance, as soon as the cold supply is on the shower will only produce cold water.

My question is I assume I need a Thermostatic mixer shower.
Is that shower type suitable for my setup ?
What is the minimum pressure required from the hot water supply ?

Thanks for any advice
