thermostatic mixing valve

I have been given 4 non thermostatic valves for a house I am building. Regs state I require thermostatic valves. Can I buy a thermostatic valve like the type sold in Screwfix ( bare boned?) and convert the valves I have been given or is it impossible? Hope you can understand!!!

I don't, but I don't need to understand to know that you can't achieve any kind of conversion between different types, or brands, of valve without buying and fitting an entire new one.

BTW, if you go to your local plumbers' merchant then you'll get the kind of advice that you can't get from Scroofix, which is exactly the reason I never use the latter.
