can anyone tell me if there is any regulation that states that you must have thermostatic valves on a new central heating system
or can you just have normal valves
im not a lover of the thermostatic ones.

is that even is i have a room stat, ?
what is a good type to use on a combi system, ?
thanks

They have to be in bedrooms at least. Best practise is to use them in all other rooms too except where the thermostat is.

Perhaps you're thinking of the early ones, which didn't work very well- they're OK now. Dearest are best, natch.

Yes.

Don't begrudge money on TRV's as they do pay for themselves.

It's part of CHeSS document (Central Heating System Specifications) Ive been trying to find an online version of the document but so far have only found this
